Professional Background

Dr. Buser has been a practicing physician for over 30 years. He entered the US Air force in 1985 with a scholarship to Duke medical school. After graduating from psychiatric residency in 1993 he served for 3 years at a 200 bed Air Force hospital in Mississippi (Keesler Medical Center). In July of 1996 he was transferred overseas as the sole military psychiatrist for the Panama Canal Zone. In June of 1997 he was honorably discharged from the Air Force with the rank of Major. He served in private psychiatric practice for 21 years in Asheville, NC.  He completed a fellowship in advanced psychotherapy at the C. G. Jung Institute of Chicago and founded the Asheville Jung Center in 2008. He serves as publisher for Chiron Publications.
